Code for America is coming to Detroit!!!

Next Thursday, July 21st at 7:00pm, come to OmniCorp at 1501 Division St Detroit to learn about what Code for America and the City of Detroit are planning on making happen next year — how we’re trying to leverage technology to boost the city’s economy and long-term growth — and how you can be a part of it by applying to be a Code for America fellow.

The Code for America Fellowship
Code for America is now accepting applications for its 2012 fellowship. If you’re a developer, designer, researcher, or entrepreneur who wants to make a difference in Detroit, this is your opportunity to build a new generation of Gov 2.0 apps to make city governments work better. CfA fellows get a crash course in how cities work, mentorship and networking with the top names in tech and government, and a platform to launch companies and careers that will bring long-term innovation to the public sector. They also get a living-wage stipend, travel expenses, and healthcare for the year. Most of all, they get the chance to be heroes — in Detroit and across the countru.
