Instructors made themselves highly accessible, and the portable speakers will make any kid the coolest on the block, if he/she didn’t already enjoy such a status. This sort of DIY project can be a point of pride for Detroiters who value collaborative learning, reinvention of vacant urban space, and Motown traditions.
