This is not our intention at all. There are a few reasons for this. One is because we all share all of our tools and other equipment and we want to make sure it doesn't walk away. We are open 24/7, so safety of all members comes into play as well. We also want to make sure that we are comfortable with any potential member before we give them a key to our place which is like a second home to any of us. The best way to think about it is like trying to find a roommate. You wouldn't just give someone a key to your house because they wanted to pay rent would you? You would want to at least meet them first, right? Also, maybe "invitation only" is not the best wording for this. If you come out and meet a member, and express interest in joining, the member will pass the information off to the group. If you are a friendly person and dont make any members uncomfortable, you will have no issues becoming a member. Hope this clears things up. HI James. This is not our intention at all.
